Images of Soybean Leaves

  • Descrição: Este conjunto de dados é composto por três pastas de imagem de folhas de soja: Caterpillar, Diabrotica Speciosa e saudável. As imagens são de folhas de soja danificadas por lagartas, diabrotica speciosa e imagens saudáveis (ou seja sem os danos dos dois insetos citados). As imagens foram capturadas em ambiente real, com as interperies da natureza, como: vento, sol, sombras, nublado. São 6.410 imagens no dataset, divididas entre as 3 (tres) pastas: lagarta - 3.309, diabrotica speciosa - 2.205 e saudável - 896. Essas imagens foram padronizadas por dimensão 500 x 500 e rotação de 45, 90 e 180 graus para aumentar o dataset. Os dados estão in natura, o que permite que o pesquisados aplique os filtros e ferramentas de pré-processamento que precisar. As imagens foram capturadas com smartfones e drones. As alturas de capturas foram variadas, pois não temos em bibliografia qual seria uma altura ideal Os pesquisadores poderão utilizar esse conjunto de dados em pesquisas que utilizem tecnologias computacionais como: inteligência artificial, machine learning, deep learning, entre outros. Este dataset poderá ser utilizado no treinamento de modelos para predição de produção, controle de pragas (lagarta e diabrótica speciosa), através do danos nas folhas, calculo de porcentagem de danos nas folhas, identificação e diagnóstico de pragas.

Soybean Seeds

  • Descrição: The dataset includes five-type of individual soybean seed images, totaling 5513: intact, spotted, immature, broken, and skin-damaged. Furthermore, there are over 1000 images of soybean seeds in each category. Those images of individual soybeans were classified into five categories based on the Standard of Soybean Classification (GB1352-2009). The soybean images with the seeds in physical touch were captured by an industrial camera. Subsequently, individual soybean images (227×227 pixels) were divided from the soybean images (3072×2048 pixels) using an image-processing algorithm with a segmentation accuracy of over 98%. The dataset can serve to study the classification or quality assessment of soybean seeds.

Forty soybean cultivars from subsequent harvests

  • Descrição: Abstract: The selection of forage grasses that are more adapted to adverse conditions, such as water scarcity or dry rain periods , is extremely important. Mainly due to the severe climate changes, and the search for more sustainable ways of farming. Forage grasses form the basis of the diet of beef cattle and are also used as a source of biofuels, for erosion control and soil improvement. This work presents a machine learning methodology to obtain classification models for nine forage cultivars, subject to moderate and severe water stress. The Naïve Bayes algorithm is used together with the Kernel Density Estimation method to obtain the densities used in the classification models. Before learning the models, the grouped cross val idation technique and also the g rid search are used to search for the best set of hyperparameters. The best accuracy and precision results are 0.88 and 0.90, respectively. It is observed that the classification performance depends on the cultivars used in the training and test sets. At the end, the estimated probability densities are also analyzed by comparing them with some statistics obtained for each variable and water stress or control environment s The proposed methodology is a complementary approach to classical statistical methods. It provides abstract models for obtaining information about the cultivar's harvesting environment.

  • Descrição: Os programas de melhoramento nesses últimos anos vêm desenvolvendo novos cultivares com alta estabilidade e adaptabilidade, os quais apresentam caracteres agronômicos desejáveis e alta produtividade de grãos para as regiões produtoras no território brasileiro. Na cultura da soja (Glycine max L.), a maior exigência nutricional é pelo nitrogênio, utilizado para as funções básicas da planta, sendo metabolizado e usado para a formação de aminoácidos, proteínas e lipídeos. A maior parte dessa demanda é suprida pela fixação biológica de nitrogênio (FBN), pela simbiose da soja com bactérias do gênero Bradyrhizobium, processo que é responsável por até 90% do N2 fixado naturalmente. O presente trabalho teve como objetivo avaliar os efeitos da inoculação de sementes sob as características agronômicas e de produção de três cultivares de soja no município de Areia-PB. O experimento foi conduzido na área experimental de Chã de Jardim, pertencente ao Centro de Ciências Agrárias – CCA da Universidade Federal da Paraíba - UFPB, Campus II, localizada no município de Areia - PB. O delineamento estatístico utilizado foi o de blocos ao acaso (DBC) em esquema fatorial 3 x 2 (3 cultivares vs 2 métodos de inoculação) com quatro repetições, totalizando 24 parcelas. A semeadura foi realizada manualmente, no final de abril. O inoculante utilizado foi BIOMAX® premium composto por bactérias Bradrhizobium elkanii, no formato líquido. A colheita foi realizada no final de agosto quando 95% das vagens apresentavam coloração típica das vagens madura e feita manualmente. As características avaliadas foram: altura de planta, altura de inserção da primeira vagem, número de vagens por plantas, peso de mil grãos e produtividade. As médias foram comparadas pelo teste de Tukey a 5% de probabilidade. Os maiores valores obtidos para AP foi pela cultivar M 8349, para NVP foi pela Brasmax Estrema e, para PMG e produtividade a Brasmax Domínio apresentou os maiores valores. Todas as cultivares apresentaram altura de inserção da primeira vagem favoráveis à colheita mecanizada. A utilização da inoculação de sementes nas cultivares de soja testadas favoreceu o peso de mil grãos e a produtividade apenas para a cultivar Brasmax Domínio. Apesar das cultivares testadas terem apresentado uma adequada altura de inserção da primeira vagem e peso de mil grãos, provavelmente, os baixos valores obtidos para altura e número de vagens por planta resultaram numa menor produtividade.

Liming and Rhizoctonia Root Rot of Soybean

  • Descrição: The objective of this study was to verify the effect of liming on the incidence of Rhizoctonia root rot and the limestone dose that provides the highest soybean yield in four fields with different soil classes. The treatments were arranged in a factorial scheme of 4 fields with different soil classes (Paleudult, Cambisol Ta, Cambisol Tb and Nitosol) x 2 sites within each field (inside and outside of the patch) x 4 doses of limestone (0, 3, 6 and 9 Mg ha-1). The experimental design within each site in the field was in a complete randomized block with four replications. The variables evaluated were: incidence (%) of the disease (INC); area under the disease progress curve (AUDPC), soybean yield (YIELD), height (cm) of plant (PLH), height (cm) of insertion of the first pod (INSH), number of branches per plant (BRA), number of nodes per plant (TNOD), number of fertile nodes per plant (FNOD), number of pods per plant (PODS), and number of grains per plant (GRAINS), 1000-grain weight in grams (WEIGHT), and number of plants per meter (PLANTS).

  • Descrição: ABSTRACT This study aimed to evaluate soybean and corn yields and soil physical attributes of a Dystrophic Red Latosol fertilized with swine wastewater (SW). Therefore, a field experiment was conducted in randomized blocks to evaluate five treatments of fertilization in the 2014/2015 season (soybean in the summer and corn in the second season). The treatments were: T1 - control (fertilized exclusively with chemical fertilizers); T2 - fertilized with 1270 m3 ha-1 of SW; T3 - fertilized with 170 m3 ha-1 of SW; T4 - fertilized with 50 m3 ha-1 of SW; and T5 - fertilized with 50 m3 ha-1 of SW + chemical fertilization. Soil samplings and soil physical analyses were performed before soybean cultivation and after corn harvest. No significant alteration was observed in soil physical attributes during the evaluation period. The application of swine wastewater in the fertilization of soybean and corn, cultivated in Dystrophic Red Latosol with high clay contents, positively affected these crops, since it led to good yields in soybean (with an average of 2990.85 kg ha-1) and increased corn yields (with a maximum of 7126.5 kg ha-1). In addition, soil physical properties were not altered.

  • Descrição: Abstract Soybean (Glycine max L.) monocropping have had a great socio-economic and environmental impact on the world and agroforestry systems has been considered an alternative for more sustainable production. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different arrangements of agroforestry systems of the species E. urophylla x E. grandis and P. dubium and the pruning of the trees on the dynamics of solar radiation and soybean yield. A field experiment was conducted in Southern Brazil. In order to achieve the objective of the study, the solar radiation transmissivity and the productive performance of the soybean were evaluated. In this study, the soybean yield was determined by the arrangement of the agroforestry system and forest species utilized. The soybean crop cultivated in the understory of the P. dubium trees showed the highest yield response. The use of silvicultural practices for the management of forest species should be considered to generate the balance of the productive system. In this context, tree pruning is a viable side for agroforestry systems, as it promotes an increase in the incidence of solar radiation in the understory, resulting in an increase in soybean yield, especially when integrated with P. dubium.

  • Descrição: Um aspecto relevante que afeta a qualidade do biodiesel diz respeito à sua suscetibilidade à oxidação. Esta característica deve-se à presença de cadeias carbônicas, como as dos ésteres de ácidos graxos insaturados que compõem o biodiesel. À medida que se formam compostos de degradação diminui a estabilidade oxidativa dos ésteres. Esse controle se faz necessário para que se possam avaliar as condições de armazenamento e evitar processos indesejáveis de degradações. Portanto, o presente trabalho buscou avaliar a estabilidade oxidativa do biodiesel de soja, obtido através das rotas metílica e etílica, via catálise, básica durante um período de 12 meses de armazenamento a 43 °C. O acompanhamento do processo oxidativo deu-se através de métodos não acelerados (índice de acidez, viscosidade cinemática e densidade relativa) e acelerados (Rancimat, PDSC e PetroOxy). A caracterização físico-química indicou que os parâmetros analisados se encontraram dentro dos limites estabelecidos pelo regulamento técnico da ANP, com exceção do índice de estabilidade oxidativa cujos valores foram 3,58 e 3,88 h para o BMS e BES, nesta ordem. As análises da composição química relataram predominância do éster linoléico em ambas as amostras (43,8 % para o BMS e 45,7 para o BES) e confirmaram a transformação dos ácidos graxos em ésteres. Os índices de acidez, em ambas as amostras apresentaram-se dentro do limite máximo exigido pela resolução vigente, aumentando consideravelmente nos meses seguintes. Tanto a viscosidade quanto a densidade aumentaram em função do tempo, porém não excederam o limite estabelecido pela ANP. Evidenciou-se excelente correlação direta entre o índice de acidez, viscosidade e densidade, e destes com Rancimat. Na avaliação do processo oxidativo, por meio dos métodos acelerados, o BES apresentou-se mais estável à oxidação do que o BMS. Apresentando, no final do armazenamento, 0,83 h pelo método Rancimat, 18,7 e 17,6 min por PDSC e PetroOXY, respectivamente.
